Party Like it’s 2005
New Years.
Happy new year. Ring out the old year with terpsichorean
steps. Call in the New Year with the request not to forget old acquaintances and
days of Auld Lang Syne.
I could have danced all night, well, except for that whole
red shoe thing, but that’s another story.
The third annual Friday Night Waltz New Year event was
excellent. Brassworks had an opportunity to flex a larger part of their range
and play swing, tango, and some modern in with their traditional Victorian.
And at midnight, we counted down, drank our Martinellis
apple cider, sparkling of course, and danced for another half hour before
heading out into the new year.
