Pretty
cool, we successfully set the alarm (don’t laugh, we were having issues
on that front, but no longer. Success).
We got up and went to meet the ferry. Watched the sun rise over the Sound. And then we were off sailing through the San Juan Islands, scattered like emeralds across the blue velvet of the water. Forests right down to the water. We stopped at Orca’s island and Friday Harbor. Kevin’s uncle owns a house at Friday Harbor, but Karen couldn’t remember which one. Whatever, its a beautiful spot. |
Music
Harp to sound innocuous for the border guard Billy Idol, Rebel Yell - it's English Lost Boys - seemed to fit Queen - It’s kinda Magic, we were feelin’ ridiculous Clarissa Noel - it’s short, we like it |

We
breezed through customs onto Vancouver Island and Canada and headed to
Butchart Gardens.
Even in fall there were tons of flowers. It used to be a rock quarry. But an eccentric rich woman and lots of money made rose gardens and Japanese gardens and grottos and lots of lush pretty.
Victoria is the picture of quaint. More English than England. I should know, I was there. |
