Mall Hikes

How does that go…March rolls in like a lion and leaves like a lamb. Or was that April. Well, it’s not May.

Anyway, green is the dirt splattered hikes of the Bay Area March. Unless your mud loving hearty, it’s hard to find good hikes that don’t leave you dragging a pound of earth from each foot.

However, for the less hearty hikers, there are a few answers. Most of them are indoors. Ah, yes, the pleasures of the Mall walk.

Yes, I know, malls are the home of Mall Rats and other unsavory…ooh, is that a Hot Topic? Ahem.

One of my favorites is the Great Mall, which offers such pleasures 15 minute masseurs, the aforementioned Hot Topic, and an exhausting array of stores and walking space. It may be rainy outside, but inside it’s paved and pleasant for an easy stroll. And hey, once you’ve exercised, there’s always ice cream.
