Day 2, Karen and I headed off on our own to go see Wat Pho (Wat=temple) .  It’s next door to the Wat of the Emerald Buddha. Rather than gold and mirrors, Wat Pho is covered in lots of tiny pieces of tile
	The flaky gold statue – he’s covered in gold leaf. Apparently, you can earn merit by gold leafing Buddha’s or statues of famous monks. You see people doing it all over.
