Cruising the Bay
 I
can honestly say that I love my commute. Every day, I get on the Alameda/Oakland
ferry and I look at the water, the Bay, the graceful span of the Bay Bridge,
everything. It is a beautiful and very cheap way to take a cruise on the
Bay.
And every day is different.
Blue skies. Storms. A harvest moon rising over the Oakland hills. A thousand
different sunsets over the city.
You can ride for an unlimited
number of times. They take your ticket when you leave the ferry. There's
a snack bar with munchies, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
 You
can sit on the deck and soak in the wummer air. Or huddle inside and watch
the winter rains.
And the last friday of every
month, an R&B band plays out on the back deck because Life Am Good.
Listening to Sitting On
Dock on the Bay while sailing across the Bay for $4, margarita in hand,
watching the sun set, oh yeah.
