Restaurant

Apricot Tree

With parents at each of the state, I've been up and down I-5 a few times. One road side restaurant, that I like to visit, is the Apricot Tree.

On our way down to San Diego to go to Comicon, Karen and I had breakfast at the Apricot Tree.

The décor is roadside kitch. The rafters are all lined with lunch boxes from different eras while the booths are lined with the corresponding thermoses.

I had a basic eggs, bacon, sausage breakfast, with two Apricot muffins (very tasty). Karen had biscuits and gravy. Karen felt there should have been more meat in the gravy, like her grandmother makes, but you can't win them all.

Sadly, the shake machine was not working, so I couldn't get a Apricot shake (all of their Apricot related foods are fairly tasty). However, the fresh squeezed orange juice probably went better with breakfast.

Afterwards, we wandered through the gift shop and then headed on our way.
